Welcome to me!

So, initially, I set this up to show a landscaper some photos of my back yard. I never did use it for that, so maybe I'll post an occasional something, now that I have it set up.

I named this blog "Beautiful Day Rule" after our family's rule about TV, computer and video games: you can't use them when it's a beautiful day outside. I love to be outdoors. My nightmares are of flooding caused by global warming. In my worst dream, I am standing on the at the top of planet earth, on the last bit of land, surrounded by water. The water keeps rising until I have to stand on my tippy toes on the last square inch of dry land...and then I wake up.

Determined to bike to the grocery store, line dry the heavy towels, and enjoy nature while I can.

We're supposed to get more conservative and "practical" as we get older. Instead, I'm becoming hippy-dippy, conservationist, nature girl.

You're the bomb!

So, who determines if it's a "beautiful day"? Should there be a committee of beautiful people to decide?

I like that rule ... and welcome, welcome!

Welcome to the party. It took me months to get as many comments as you're getting from the jump. You're off to a great start.

As far as your nightmare goes, I hear it's not so bad under the sea.
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me.

Sorry about that. I need sleep.

Thanks for the tip, Blue Gal, and thank you all for your nice welcome. I've actually been working on a post, but I think I'm suddenly suffering from over-analysis, self-doubt, ...aka fear! I do my best work when I don't think too much about what I'm when I started this blog.

Will have to forget what I'm doing and try again.

Everyone's fearful of having their posts under a microscope at first. The more you blog though, the less concerned you'll be that you're making a complete ass out of yourself. Reference my above comment if you need an example of what that looks like. Actually, perhaps it's best you retain some vestige of humility afterall.

Thanks, MR. And you're welcome to leave me bad poetry anytime!

Manila knows of what he speaks. At Blue Gal my motto is face the fear and do it anyway. I can't tell you how many times I've faced the keyboard with exactly that thought.

I found my way here via BLue Gal. Never worry about what others may think about your blog, my frined. Write from your heart and speak the truth.
